Hyaluronic Acid Filler Treatments in Hamburg
The body’s natural production of collagen and elastin reaches its peak as early as around the age of 25. After that, these reserves gradually decrease, causing the skin to lose firmness and elasticity. Over time, this can lead to the formation of wrinkles and a loss of volume in certain areas. For example, the cheeks often lose fullness. Both wrinkles and volume deficits — such as sunken cheeks, a deepened tear trough, or marionette lines — can be corrected with filler treatments, such as hyaluronic acid. These are injectable treatments designed to plump up sunken areas of the skin and restore volume. Fillers can also be used to contour specific facial areas.
RESULTS OF WRINKLE INJECTIONS WITH HYALURONIC ACID
An initial effect is visible immediately after the treatment. Minor swelling around the injection sites usually subsides over the following days. The final result is typically visible after about two weeks. Hyaluronic acid is gradually broken down by the body over time. How quickly this process occurs depends, on the one hand, on how strongly cross-linked the injected hyaluronic acid is and, on the other hand, on the individual patient.
As a rule, the effect lasts between 9 and 12 months. After that, a repeat treatment is usually possible without any problems.
Procedure for Wrinkle Injections
Before the injection treatment, the areas to be treated are marked on the skin. Many modern filler products already contain a local anesthetic, making the treatment extremely low-pain and usually eliminating the need for additional anesthesia. If desired, an anesthetic cream can also be applied to very sensitive areas to numb the region.
The active substance is then injected beneath the skin using a fine cannula. The exact technique depends, among other factors, on the individual findings, the chosen hyaluronic acid product, and the desired result. For example, highly cross-linked hyaluronic acids are suitable for plumping and smoothing deep wrinkles as well as defining facial contours. Non-cross-linked hyaluronic acids, on the other hand, are injected more broadly beneath the skin and help refresh the complexion.

WHICH AREAS IS HYALURONIC ACID SUITABLE FOR?
Fillers such as hyaluronic acid are used to soften wrinkles and lines. Hyaluronic acid can also be used to restore volume, moisture, and elasticity to specific areas of the face. Hyaluronic acid is particularly suitable for static wrinkles, fine crepey lines, and wrinkles caused by a lack of moisture. For dynamic expression lines, however, BTX is always the more suitable alternative. In some areas, a combined use of both active substances can also be beneficial.
